What does it mean to you to be a first-generation student/graduate?
Being a first-generation college student is important to me because it means I am able to provide a more stable and financially secure life for myself, my husband, and my children.
Why is being a first-generation student/graduate important to you?
Being a first generation graduate is important because I’m breaking the cycle of sacrificing quality life experiences due to endless work.
What piece of advice would you give to first-generation students?
Your choice to attend college will not only change your life, but generations to come. Hold on to the dream and don’t give up. If things get tough, don’t be afraid to seek out campus resources – they are more helpful than you think.
